Hello, Monday.

Do sharks complain about Monday? No. They’re up early, biting shit, chasing stuff, being scary. Reminding everyone that they’re a fucking shark.

Monday is always that dreaded word that nobody wants to hear. You spend your Sunday worrying about what’s in store for you the following day. So much so that it can ruin your entire day.

Some people even worry about Monday on Friday evening! (Apologies to those of you who work weekends..)

Having this attitude about Monday can take a lot away from you. People often get into the habit of becoming lazy on a Monday because their weekend just wasn’t long enough.

But why let that ruin a new week? Or rather, why let that ruin your weekend?

I’ve convinced myself to enjoy Monday’s. I don’t necessarily love them just yet, but I’m getting close to it. Just by telling yourself that you love something you can actually convince yourself that you do.

To help to re-enforce that Monday’s aren’t actually that bad, instead of telling myself ‘I have to go to work tomorrow’ I tell myself ‘I get to go to the GYM tomorrow’ And not only that, but I’ve changed my workouts so I’m now doing a push, pull and leg day. Which means that I’m looking forward to the gym today even more than I was before. I get to do my favourite muscle groups, back and biceps!

Plus, a Monday means the start of a new week. So if you’ve had a rubbish week it’s the perfect time to start a fresh. Or, if you’ve had an awesome week you can continue that into a new week!

So why not set yourself your favourite workout on a Monday to motivate you to get out of bed in the morning. And wake up telling yourself that you love Monday’s.

Smash this Monday, you got this.

Have a great week.

A.x

    1. I’ve re-arranged my workout programmes this week so I’ve REALLY been looking forward to Monday this Sunday.

Maybe make yourself some tasty lunch for a Monday to help you love Monday’s? I know food definitely motivates me!

      1. The weather has made me move and skip runs so fingers crossed the weird snow/sleet that we may get tonight doesn’t come!

I love having a yummy dinner planned for Mondays. Definitely a good motivator to get through the Monday work day 🙂
